Char Adhyay By Rabindranath Tagore চার অধ্যায়

“Char Adhyay,” which translates to “Four Chapters” in English, is a novel by Rabindranath Tagore, the esteemed poet, novelist, and Nobel laureate in Literature. Originally written in Bengali, “Char Adhyay” was first published in 1934 and is considered one of Tagore’s seminal works of fiction.

The novel is set against the backdrop of the Swadeshi movement, a significant period of nationalist fervor and anti-colonial agitation in British-ruled India during the early 20th century. It follows the story of Amit Ray, a young revolutionary who becomes disillusioned with the violent tactics of his fellow revolutionaries and seeks solace in the teachings of Buddha.
